The talk will cover practical considerations and useful skills; preparation and research; strategies and approaches; asking and listening; and transcribing, editing, and writing.

Presenter Profile

Richard Conrad worked as a journalist in Australia for more than three decades before moving this year with his family to Nishinomiya.

His career began in 1979 with a newspaper cadetship on Queensland’s major metropolitan daily newspaper, The Courier-Mail, and included senior editorial positions for Australia’s highest circulation papers, the Herald Sun in Melbourne and the Sunday Telegraph in Sydney.

Richard also worked for regional newspapers, glossy magazines, radio stations, government communications, and online. Job titles have included editor, news reporter, feature writer (arts and entertainment, technology, travel, food, business, and property), bureau manager, sub-editor, and production editor.
