Type of applicants sought

Applicants must have professional translation experience or a translation degree, a competent grasp of advanced-level written Japanese, and excellent English writing abilities. Legal translation experience and legal knowledge are advantages but not prerequisites. A working knowledge of Trados is also an advantage.


Job Description

Translating legal documents from Japanese to English; editing and proofreading legal documents prepared in English, many of which have been translated from Japanese into English; ensuring consistency in terminology in English documents translated by multiple translators; working with Trados translation memory software; and basic administrative duties.
