Does anyone know of any books or web pages on Japanese to English translation technique like Peter Newmark’s “Textbook of translation”  and “Approaches to Translation”?.  Newmark’s books are mostly for Romance and Germanic languages.  I am literate in Japanese so I would like to know about books or websites in Japanese or English.

I’m afraid I don’t know of many books specifically about translation between Japanese and English, but some of the books that have come up recently in SWET discussions are as follows.

* Mouse or Rat: Translation as Negotiation
