I note that _Baghdad Burning_, which is a compilation of Riverbend’s blog reports, has been short-listed for the Samuel Johnson Prize

Wasn’t there some best-selling Japanese book in the last year or two that was just a compilation of messages from a BBS? I forget the details, but seem to remember that it sold astonishingly well and triggered a spate of copycats.

Back from my travels to find blogs again.

Yes, use them to attract readers, use them as a way to tell the world you are a writer and a lively, with-it one, tell them what you are doing or offer tips about your subject or hints on writing but DONT expect your blog to result in a publishing deal!
