This time, I follow up the joint event possibly to be shared among the active people on the subject and also the science communicator who can catalyse the event. The NPO Science Communication Japan is acting in arranging the communication among the actors to find the sponsors.
Lets Join Science Communicator in Japan for the Exhibition at Minpaku etc

Here is the message of proposed event.

An organiser of a Special Exhibition is announcing that the Exhibition will be held at the@National Museum of Ethnology (Minpaku), Osaka, from 12th September to@11th December this year.

This exhibition will explain the exploration and colonization of the Pacific Ocean over the last 4,000 - 5,000 years, and the present life of island people in different regions of Oceania.

In the context of this exhibition, sometime in November 2007, he is planning to hold a small meeting of invited foreign and Japanese guests, and members of the public, to discuss human responses to the threat of climate change and sea level rise, among coastal and island societies around the Pacific, including Japan.

The primary aim will be to facilitate citizen-to-citizen exchanges of experience and knowledge and opinion, rather than offering a top-down and formal academic of meeting.

A major aim is to enlist the help and participation of one or more active environmental and educational NGOs in the Kansai region.

He is currently looking for financial and non-financial (koen) sponsors for the meeting. The primary financial support is expected to come from the National Museum of Ethnology budget.

His application to the museum for support will depend in part on being able to show that there is interest in the proposed meeting among other relevant organisations.
