I’m originally from San Francisco, California but have been living in Japan since 1999. I first started studying Japanese while in the US Air Force, then later in college I began studying more seriously, went to Japan on a scholarship, and married a Japanese woman (not in that order).

In college I became very interested in computer programming, and ended up combining these two interests by becoming a Japanese to English translator specializing in IT/software.
