Call for Contributions by the Journal of Specialised Translation: For a January 2015 Issue

The Journal of Specialised Translation has recently announced a call for contributions for their next non-thematic issue in January 2015.

The journal is inviting innovative critical contributions dealing with any area or aspect of specialized translation, in particular: Features regarding specialized language; general and practical issues in translation and interpreting; subject field translation issues, i.e., medical, legal, financial, multimedia, localization, etc.; theoretical issues in specialized translation; and aspects of training and teaching regarding specialized translation.

The journal is accepting all contributions ranging from short, practical pieces for the "Translator's Corner" section and reviews (500-800 words) to full-length papers (between 4,000 and 7,000 words, including endnotes and references).

The journal also accepts contributions in a range of languages, including minority languages, in order to provide a publishing opportunity for researchers of all nationalities. English abstracts are provided for all articles, and all contributions will be peer-reviewed.

It is asked that contributions be sent to the editor-in-chief, Lucile Desblache, at JoST Editor, with the subject line of "JoSTrans Issue 23" by June 1, 2014.

The Journal of Specialised Translation (JoSTrans) is an electronic, open-access, peer-reviewed journal bringing non-literary translation issues to the fore. Published bi-annually since 2004, it includes articles, reviews, and streamed interviews by translation scholars and professionals. The journal is indexed with the main humanities bibliographies, including the ERIH (INT2), MLA, Benjamins Translation Studies bibliography, and St. Jerome's Translation Studies Abstracts Online.
