What kind of writing wins your praise and appreciation? The June Talk Shop will focus on the writing that inspires us and replenishes our language resources.

Writers, translators, editors, proofreaders—especially those of us not living in Anglophone environments—thrive on the chances we get to read good writing that is rich in idiom, erudition, or wit. Buried as we are in our work, we often long for suggestions of what to read, which authors to follow.

Here's a chance to share what we've found. Participants asked to bring a paragraph or two of good writing to read. If you can’t come, we'd love it if you sent one to us to read and discuss, at info@swet.jp. Just enough to fit on one page, please!
