Short Stories Japan

New website allows translators to post and receive feedback on short stories translated from Japanese

Short Stories Japan has just announced a new website that aims “to introduce English speakers to the vast and largely untapped world of Japanese fiction, while providing a place for the translation community to interact and work together at developing their abilities.”

The website includes a forum about how to get started in Japanese-to-English literary translation. Interested parties can visit the site to learn about, for example, Aozora Bunko, an online repository of Japanese literary works in the public domain that can be freely translated by anyone.

Please visit shortstoriesjapan.com and shortstoriesjapan.boards.net for more info.
